Added a new page on my website for collecting links to one of my favorite genres of blog post: accounts of funny or bizarre real-life technical investigations. Posts like "The Wi-Fi only works when it's raining" or "When you browse Instagram and find former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott's passport number" (both are linked on the page). I made an RSS feed too, so I can update it whenever I come across a particularly good one.
@skysailor@social.scribblers.club oooh this is a good one, thank you!
This is the second RSS feed I've set up on my blog for a very specific purpose (the first is my short story recommendations feed), and I kind of enjoy this method of blogging (if you can call this a blog). It's low pressure because I don't have to write a lot, just a sentence or two saying what the story is about or something I especially liked about it. And it makes me happy to share stuff I enjoy with others. Which I can do here on the fediverse as well, but with the RSS feeds I can look back on the list later and be like "oh yeah, that was a really great story!!" because all of them are in one place :)
@emma Oh man do recommend The Case of the 500-Mile Email http://www.ibiblio.org/harris/500milemail.html
